Crane & Hoist Technician / Assistant
About the Job
A person in the position will be doing maintenance and repair on cranes and hoists as a field service technician. Person will be working on various types of cranes including overhead cranes.
A candidate for this position needs to have had recent experience in a mechanical position; millwright or maintenance technician preferred. A candidate must have a very strong background in electrical wiring for diagnostic testing/trouble shooting (2 & 3 phase motor experience specifically). A candidate must have good mechanical background working with gear boxes and shafts, and welding/fabrication experience. A candidate needs to be comfortable working at heights and be able to pass a pre-employment background. A LMI (Lifting Machinery Inspector) certificate will be an advantage. Salary highly negotiable related to previous experience.
